Lois Hollis – Owner, Soul Speaks, LLC

Lois Hollis sees herself a Shame/Guilt Educator although others have called her a coach, counselor, therapist, and a guide who helps others find and heal their maze of troubling negative emotions. She compassionately teaches others how to discover and express their authenticity without the intimidation of low self-esteem by re-parenting and healing their unhealthy negative personality parts with their healthy selves.

Lois earned her RN registered nurse degree from St. Joseph Hospital and went to achieve a BSN Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. For thirty years she gained significant experience as a nurse in various fields of medicine such as open heart surgery, neurosurgery, and gastroenterology. However, she spent most of her nursing career in the area of Nephrology, the treatment of kidney disorders, and used her research talents, teaching and consulting to help establish one of the first kidney hemodialysis units in the country, as well as standardizing protocols for hepatitis management before the development of the hepatitis vaccine.

After Lois retired from the kidney hemodialysis field she married and was privileged to raise my three beautiful girls. Despite her many accomplishments, and eventually succumbed to headaches, guilt-ridden depression with heart disease and structural deformities. After two decades of unsuccessful relief from the traditional medical and psychological fields she entered the world of holistic health. Soon-there-after she discovered that her emotional health was intricately woven with her physical health and that shame/guilt was a large part of her emotional and physical pain. Through many years of struggle, learning, and research she not only regained her health but also a new level of vibrancy.
